Charming Hannah

Rate this book
From New York Times Bestselling author, Kristen Proby, comes the first in an all-new trilogy in her beloved Big Sky Series!

Hannah Malone loves her new town. Despite living in Cunningham Falls for five years, she’s still considered a “move in” by most of the locals, and that doesn’t bother her in the least. She’s the “new girl”, and she hasn’t regretted it for one day. This town is her sanctuary. Her home. The one place she finally fits in and feels safe after a lifetime of being different and running from the memories and a past so far away it can’t haunt her anymore.

As the newly appointed police chief, Brad Hull has the responsibility to keep his citizens safe and to maintain order. His roots in this town are deep—five generations deep, to be exact. Cunningham Falls, Montana is his town, and being a cop and protecting what’s his is his passion. Everything’s running like clockwork until a sassy redheaded doctor moves in and disrupts the order—and Brad’s focus.

She’s not just beautiful, funny, and strong. Hannah’s everything he’s been looking for in a woman. The chemistry is undeniable, and the heat in the bedroom is off the charts. Brad knew the minute he met Hannah that she was the one for him. He’s tenacious in his pursuit of her. But when the past catches up with Hannah, will Brad be able to protect her and their hearts?

“It’s paradise…
The mountains, the small town, the people. I couldn’t love it more.”

I have really wanted to delve into a Kristen Proby book for ages now so when an opportunity arose for me to read her I just jumped at the chance and I really enjoyed it. I love when you discover a new to you author and the book is so good you can’t wait to read her whole back catalogue of books and also anything else she comes up with in the future. This one is definitely worth checking out.

Having moved to Cunningham Falls a few years ago, Hannah is still seen by locals as the new girl in town but she is absolutely in love with her quaint little sanctuary and has never regretted the decision to move to the small town. Hannah has not had the easiest of lives and has gone through some really rough times and Cunningham Falls gives her an escape from her turbulent past and a place to lose herself in. I loved Hannah, I thought she was sweet, caring with a really positive outlook on life and a great sense of humor.

The newly appointed police chief of Cunningham Falls is just the perfect hero; grounded, responsible, sweet, and so unbelievably sexy. He lives to serve and protect the town folk and it really showed in his whole characterisation.

Brad has been drawn to Hannah almost instantly from their first encounter and due to certain circumstances nothing has come to fruition, as of yet that is. Brad knows Hannah is the perfect woman for him and will stop at nothing to get her. I knew once they got past their miscommunications and confusion they would have a love that will last forever. Their intense feelings and chemistry was off the charts hot which in turn kept drawing me in the further I delved into these two characters.

Kristen Proby delivered the perfect romance with Charming Hannah and the perfect backdrop for this book with the town of Cunningham Falls Montana. I actually googled Cunningham Falls to find out if it was an actual town in the US because I want to visit. If you are looking for your next read to be a super sweet contemporary romance with amazing and beautiful characters, both main and secondary then you should definitely check this one out. I can’t wait to read more by this talented author.

I quite enjoyed this book because of the hero, he was a good one and very patient with the heroine.

~No OW/OM drama.
~Little to nothing on their past sexual life. They both dated during the 3 years that they had know each other. Hero said that he didn't date that much.
~No epilogue. #wheresmyepilogue. #epiloguewhorehere.

Looking forward to next books in the series.

I was a big fan of the Big Sky series when it came out so I was ecstatic to learn that there was going to be a new release in the series. I was a little nervous that I wouldn't remember anything about the previous book but pretty much everything came back to me as soon as I started reading. There wasn't too much said about the past characters' stories so I didn't need to remember those and the descriptions for the town were very well done so that brought it all back to me.

The book is about Hannah, a new resident of Cunningham Falls aka she's been there for a few years but wasn't born there #SmallTownLogic. The quirky Doctor hasn't had much luck in the dating department while living here but that hasn't stopped her from casting a few glances towards Brad Hull aka Chief Sexypants. But when Brad starts to to take notice of Hannah as well she's not sure she's ready to open up to him.

So I pretty much fell in love with Hannah right away. I loved that she was a quirky mess but didn't let that stop her from living her life as best she could. Those quirks also had me falling in love with Brad when he would just smile at how cuckoo Hannah could be instead of making it a big deal. He was the calm to her quirky storm and I really enjoyed getting to see how they were together.

I didn't like this book. I know I'm in the minority here, but I don't care. It's my opinion after all and I have to get it out. Beware of spoilers!

My first issue was their "3 year separation" time. It was just too ridiculous. They lost all this time. And for what? The Hero makes assumptions on a HUG. It's really stupid. He could have stayed and found out about the man. The Hero is a cop for christ sake, he has the resources and the mind for that. He just left the Heroine at the hospital without saying goodbye. The man could be her brother, cousin, gay best friend, her married best friend or whatever. But no, cop man is so disappointed that he leaves.
He could even have asked his sister (she knows the Heroine) about the boyfriend/girlfriend situation. But no, he's to fine for that.

And in the 3 years they never see each other, he never realizes that she isn’t married/has a boyfriend? Totally stupid and not believable. It's a really small town after all.
This scene was just not necessary for the story. It would have been fine if they met at the "car accident".

Her anxiety issues got on my nerves. Not because she has anxiety, but it was overload. It was described rather ridiculously and I think the importance of the matter got lost in the story.

Their "relationship" was insta-love or insta-lust. There was no buildup in their relationship. And the sex-scenes were really awkward and just happened out of the blue without further ado. It felt very mechanical and so unromantic. It wasn't sexy at all. I skipped the pages.

Another issue were their friends and neighbors. They were all so noisy and irritating. Of course they were all beautiful and very rich. Over the top rich. OMG. But they weren't like normal rich people, no they were really down to earth and nice and so not at all like the other rich people. See where this is going?

There are discussions of her sex life with the Hero's sister and her friends whom the Heroine doesn’t really know. Awkward. As was the meeting and interrogation by the Hero's mother.

The Heroine is a doctor, bringing babies into the world. And of course all females oft he little town are pregnant, and everyone wants the Heroine to be the doc, because the other 3 doctors aren't like her. And she's always asked about advice and such on the streets while shopping. These people don't know boundaries. The Heroine is on call 24/7 for years with no private life. I found it to be ridiculous. The way she goes she's burning herself out.

I didn’t fell their love at all. They had nothing in common. It wasn’t really romantic. Why were they together?

There was no epilogue.

The last thing I need to add: The Hero told her to move in with him. She had her own house. He told her he doesn’t care what she does with it, she should sell or rent it but he wants her butt in his house and bed. No discussion at all. He wasn't ready to move into her house or that they would find something together. Nope. And he had all the movers ready even before he told her about his grand plan. He wanted her to move in within days. Such an ass. I don't find this romantic or sexy. And heroine doesn't have a backbone and agrees readily to his demands. Because they're in love.

Enough said. It wasn't my thing at all. After reflecting on it for a few days I can say there wasn't one thing that made the story.

4 'Small Town Love' Stars

Awww, Kristen Proby did it again! Small town romance at its finest!

I've been dying for this new series, ever since it was first announced, specially considering Love Under The Big Sky is one of my all time KP favs.

She’s the calm in the storm for me.

His lips are just… wow. I want them on me. All over me. Every fucking inch.

Hannah and Brad were drawn to each other from the first time they set eyes on each other, but circumstances led to a misunderstanding, that together with they busy lives kept them apart for three years. Perfect timing is everything, and now, it's the right time for Brad and Hannah's romance to blossom and become that once-in-a-lifetime love!

“You’re sexier than I ever imagined, and I can’t wait to sink inside you.”
I can only smile at him.
“But if you think you’re running this show, you’re sorely mistaken, sweetheart.”

“I’m always in the mood for you,” I reply and hastily remove my clothes. “I can’t stop thinking about you, daydreaming about you.”

Brad, a handsome, loyal and down to earth new chief of police that truly lives to protect and serve, couldn't have been more perfect to Hannah, a equally workaholic with well hidden anxiety issues brought by her upbringing. A caring and loving soul that needed Brad's protective and calm nature, more than she could have ever dreamt of.

I live too much in my own head. I overthink and it gets me in trouble.
I need to trust. To loosen up. To go with the flow.

“Hannah. You asked me before what helps, remember?”
“I do.”
“It’s you.” He cups my face and kisses me softly. “It’s just you.”

I loved how naturally and realistically their relationship unfolded, as they got to truly know one another and love was growing with each passing moment. The low angst setting really allowed us to take a closer look into the characters as individual, and at times I just craved more couple time, with a hint of passion. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I was just waiting for something more to happen at any time. Yes, I know, this was the perfect amount of non-relationship angst that I normally craved, but I just missed a spark/hint of something else to really make it stand out and become overall perfect.
And like a good hardcore Love Under the Big Sky fan, I was blissfully happy with cameos from the original series, so amazing to keep in touch with them.

...the world falls away and I’m lost in her.
There’s no going back.
I’m hers.

“This.” His hand covers my core. “You.” He kisses my navel and then higher on my breast bone. “Are mine.”

Kristen Proby planted the perfect seed to keep us hook in this emotional, feel good, sweet and sexy new series, and with a setting like this, and a cast like all these amazing secondary character, she guaranteed my already fangirling stalking to a whole no level! Can't wait for more of Cunningham Falls, perhaps other of the Hull siblings?! <3 <3 <3 <3

“Baby, of course I’m yours. I told you, I don’t see anything but you.” His fingers gently glide down my cheeks as he sinks inside me, making me gasp in pleasure. “I’m yours completely. That’s why I want you to move in with me. Everything I am, and all that I have belongs to you.”
“I just want you,”

“This is the heart of a man who loves you more than he ever thought he could. I didn’t know what I was missing until you came into my life, Hannah. This heart believes in you, admires you, and takes so much joy in you.”

Brad is beyond scrumptious!! New BBF on deck, ladies. He's sweet, caring, sexy, and sexy AF. Oh and did I mention he's the chief of police. Hot guys in a uniform = YUMMY!

So now that you know what I absolutely loved, let's cover the rest. Hannah and Brad together are super cute. The characters are very well done. I enjoyed Hannah's quirks and beliefs. Honestly, this has been a highlight for me with the last two Kristen Proby books I've read. The heroines are self aware, smart, and not readily fit into what one may label as a traditional heroine mold. I think it's brilliant that the characters are flawed and relatable.

I loved the small town setting. I'd love to visit. Also the cast of characters, including those from previous books in the series were really a pleasure to see.

The writing, as always, is excellent! The plot and pace were both on point!

Overall, another win from an amazing author! Recommended.

4 - "You’re not so bad with words, you know…" Stars!

Kristen Proby begins her new Big Sky Series, by giving us Dr. Hannah Malone’s story. And Charming Hannah to the nth degree is exactly what yummy Police Chief Brad Hull does.

The mountains, the small town, the people. I couldn’t love it more…

If you, like I loved the authors Love Under the Big Sky series you are going to happily jump into this one, as its essentially an offshoot of it, same town of Cunningham Falls, and as any seasoned Proby reader will attest too, you get to enjoy a wealth of likeable secondary characters who have had their stories told in that series, as well as an introduction to the affable Hull siblings who will be getting their stories told in this one.

I live too much in my own head. I overthink and it gets me in trouble…

Although the book wasn’t a struggle to read, and the writing as well as the couple easy to get along with I think this is quite possibly the fluffiest book I have read by this author, it was as heavy as stubbing your toe on a Care Bear. The conflict (if you can call it that) was almost non-existent, and as a couple there was very little in the way of the path to true love not running smoothly. They pretty much hit it off, got their clothes off, and apart from a little anxiety wobble towards the end, rode off into the sunset together.

"You make me want things I never have before."

It was great to catch up with previous characters though, and I have to admit Jenna and Max were both set up well in this one that I am looking forward to reading what the author has in store for them, when their books release. Kissing Jenna is up first, so the author will be keeping her readers well entertained in 2018!

I think I’ll just write down my damn review in my own space and stop shoving my opinion down other people’s throats!!!

Take it from someone who actively deals with anxiety. It is really not easy to seek help. It’s easy to figure out when you read it in books, but in real life, not so much. As the heroine pointed out, it is embarrassing and no one wants to feel embarrassed. That is why a mental illness is different to physical one. It’s invisible. That’s why a therapy is necessary along with a support group. Or else why would she even need to talk to therapist, why not just give her a Xanax or something? Her peers really did fail her in this. It doesn’t matter how old you are, it’s very realistic that someone with mental issues won’t seek help, whether they’re doctors themselves is irrelevant. Doctors get depression and fail to recognise it themselves. Am I saying this wasn’t annoying? No. But I have to remind myself NOT to be annoyed as I wouldn’t be able to get annoyed if she had chronic migraines.
What I’m trying to convey here is “knowing about anxiety” is also part of the disease.
Her bff who is also a doctor makes passing comments about her being a hypochondriac. Does he do anything? No.
Does he even casually mention therapy like he mentioned hypochondria? No?
Does hero mention therapy? No?
Heroine HAS done therapy before. She THINKS she’ll be fine. Everything is in the head. YOU can’t see your thought process. You see it a lot later and then you think oh! Now I know so I’ll be able to control it in future. Which is never the case.

Does that mean I like the heroine? No. I had to force myself not to dislike her as I won’t be able to dislike her if she was physically ill. Which is not the same as liking.
At the same time, I didn’t fully bond with the hero either. I agree with heroine. What kind of a hero waits THREE years to make a move? Not a besotted kind. Nor an attractive kind either.
He also seemed to be the kind of man who wants control in bedroom. I personally find men like this to be weak. So another strike against him. I do NOT enjoy controlling men. Alpha, yes. Controlling, no. There is not subtle but a very bold difference.

I REALLY like Jenna, hero’s sister and Sadie, hero’s dog.

I have missed out half my issues with the book because I had to have my ranty moment.

This one covers them all:

"3 Stars"

This book was nice and I enjoyed it enough. But it wasn't what I was expecting. The story-line was nice and easy. There were some lovely and sweet moments during the book which I really loved. Brad and Hannah were really great together, and most importantly they brought peace to each other when they were a hot mess with their issues.

But this book wasn't as good as the previous I have read from this author at least for me. I love KP and I have read a few of her books and some of the them are my favs but this one fell short for me. I was expecting something more, you know.

The heroine Hannah was all over the place. She had so many fears about everything and when they knocked on her door she was a hot mess. But the good thing was that she never let those fears to determine her life so she took a lot of chances even when she was really scared and tried to win them over. Brad was really great. He had his own things to deal and overcome, and Hannah just made his day better. He was a great guy and I loved how sweet and patient he was with Hannah.

Overall, a nice book. I can't wait for the next two to see how they will turn out.

I loved this book so much. I m a huge fan of this author. When I found out we were getting more from the Big Sky series I was so happy. It's a great series so I knew this book was goin to be good.

Free Image Hosting at FunkyIMG.com

Brad the sexypants police chief and Hannah the gorgeous Doctor were great main characters I loved them. Brad is so sexy and sweet. He has wanted Hannah for a long time the gorgeous red head has been in his sights so a long time. I don't know how he waited so long cause the sexual chemistry was so hot between them, there connection was so strong they just had to be together. Brad knows what he wants and Hannah is the one. There is a few things that are a lil bit complicated between them. But Brad deals with them so well helping Hannah feel more at ease is just what she needs. They both have crazy lives but work and understand each other so well.

Hannah is a great character she is so funny in parts and she does each Brad on his toes. She has never really thought about a relationship but with Brad they just seem to fit together. Hannah does have a few worries about how Brad will deal with a few of her issues which does help her at times. But she seem to be able to deal with his help. He just makes life seem so much easier.

It's so good to be back to Cunningham Falls. Seeing some of the other characters from Love Under the Big Sky series was so good. Like I said I really enjoyed that series. I know this series is goin to be just had good. Jenna and Max's book I just know will be great. I m so happy that the series started with Brad and Hannah. They are such a sweet sexy couple. I really liked them through out this book. I would highly recommend this book I could get enough of it. Once I started I couldn't put it down. Everything was just great the story the characters. Really looking forward to more.

“There’s no going back. I’m hers.”

There is no better feeling like escaping into a Kristen Proby romance! She manages to sweep me right off my feet within the first few pages. Time and time again, her characters amaze me! Her world delights me! Her writing soothes my soul to the very core! Incredible writing, low angst, and high romance…just how I LOVE IT! Charming Hannah was a beautiful, sexy, and soul-soothing romance that I couldn’t put down…not even for a second! Hannah and Brad were so damn magical! I wanted to step through the pages of their love story and embrace them all! All of the characters, primary and secondary alike, were so amazing and so real. I wanted to experience their ups and downs right alongside them.

Whenever a Kristen Proby romance pops up on my Kindle, I’m immediately transported to my happy place. I know what’s coming and I know it’s gonna be GREAT! It’s going to be an experience on its own and it will be an experience that I will want to enjoy over and over again! I was going to fill this review with TONS of quotes from the book, but I wanted to keep them to myself for a little while longer. I also want you guys to be surprised when those gems pop up while you’re reading. There will be smiles, laughs, and tears. Hannah and Brad WILL absolutely steal your heart, but by the end, you know that you would have given it up willingly. My heart is full for this series, for these characters, and for this beautiful couple. I can’t wait to see what’s up next for this town!

Charming Hannah is book one is Proby’s Big Sky Series which is kind of like a spin-off from The Love Under the Big Sky Series. I’ve never read any books from that series, but after meeting these characters and loving this town, I plan on getting acquainted real fast!

Looking for a feel good kind of romance then Charming Hannah by Kristen Proby is the book for you. It’s been awhile since I read a book from Kristen Proby and so it felt good to read a love story that was centered on small town romance. I honestly think the simplicity and low angst is what makes this book stands out. The characters just had to get their timing right and from then on Proby made a romance that made you heart burst with so much love as readers got to fall in love with Hannah and Brad. Let me just say, Brad will steal your hearts. So if you are ready to experience a love story that was downright sweet, palpable, and swoonworthy then I suggest you better pick up this book. I can’t wait to see what Proby has in store for this series.

2 1/2 "It's me, not you..." Stars!

I'm so sad to say this one didn't really work for me. I usually love Kristen Proby's big nosey family/friends, mostly sweet, low angst, highly sexy romances. But this time, I never got vested in Brad and Hannah. It seems to me nothing really happen in this book. The drama is always low for KP, and I like that, but... 😕

The family/friends were still present though scaled down. IDK... Basically, IMO it was boring. But I'm a big fan, so I'll read her next release. I think this was a fluke. Can't love them all, eh? Happy reading!

Kristen Proby is an author I know, when I pick up one of her titles, I am going to enjoy it.

This title was no exception. I enjoyed the development of the relationship between Brad and Hannah, the supporting characters were present, but not overwhelming, which was nice...especially in the first in the series, as these tend to be distractingly heavy with secondary characters. I liked that they were both allowed to be successful and that their careers were respected by both of them.

There's a strong feminist voice in a lot of Ms. Proby's writing, and this always appeals to me. I love the idea that a strong, successful woman can also find love with a man who respects her. So often, the drama books in which the woman is successful comes from her work clashing with her personal life. And, yes, it happens in real life...but it is nice to read a title in which this is handled respectfully.

Hannah and Brad had chemistry, and appreciation for the career demands of the other, and respect. It's hard not to be drawn into a book with all of these, and I was drawn into this one.

I enjoyed this title and I definitely recommend it. I can't wait for the others in the series!

Wow, Charming Hannah blew me out of the water! I'll start off w/the fact that I am a HUGE Kristen Proby fan, I love all of her books and always leave me with a smile. Charming Hannah is just like that, but even more. I haven't ever been able to say I have a favorite character of Kristen's... but Hannah is now my favorite. She is so REAL!! I seriously feel like she could be my best friend. She has daily struggles that many women can relate with and you will often find yourself laughing and saying "oh I have done that too". Come on, who hasn't thought of different excuses to try and get out of a party last minute? Of course this novel is also about a hot cop with an adorable dog too set in beautiful Cunningham Falls Montana. There is an amazing love story that evolved throughout the book, but I feel Hannah's personal story and overcoming some personal battles take the cake for me and bring me back to my Kindle for another reread.
If I could rate this book higher than 5 stars I would. There has never been a character that I connected to more than Hannah!!

Charming Hannah is a lovely start to the new series by Kristen Proby.
From the first few pages I was drawn in, I enjoyed the storyline, it was entertaining, sweet, romantic and beautifully written. I found all the characters easy to connect with and they all added to my overall enjoyment.

Hannah and Brad are strong, smart, likable characters that won my heart with their kindness, their humor and their honesty. These two have that special something most of us are looking for and they both know life is so much fuller now they have each other.
Watching them fall in love made me swoon, they made me smile and they even made me shed a few tears. Brad is such a sweetheart, he's patient, understanding and so supportive, a true partner to Hannah.
And Hannah is just as supportive to Brad and his career.
These two truly are soul mates.

Brad Hull was born and raised in Cunningham Falls, Montana, and is now the new Police Chief. He is charming, quiet, hot, strong, and sweet. But his job is taxing and he has also seen things that deeply affect him. Hannah Malone is a transplant to this town, but has made it her home. She is an OB GYN and a complete work-a-holic. She is ruled by her anxiety and fears at times, and has a hard time relaxing.

She caught his eye a few years ago, but they missed the chance to fully connect. But now, Brad is taking his shot. They have a good rapport and smoking hot chemistry. They seem to be able to calm the other when needed. He is steady, but also fun loving with her. She needs to find a way to loosen up and trust. They do have busy lives, demanding careers, and a few challenges. Brad was a swoonworthy, honest, sexy, and patient hero. Hannah was sweet and good for him, but her issues could be frustrating at times.

This is a light, cute romance with two mature, busy people trying to merge their lives. It was not full of a lot of unnecessary drama and angst. I enjoyed seeing old friends from the Love in the Big Sky series and being back in Cunningham Falls. It is a quaint setting with a tight knit group of family and friends. I am also looking forward to Brad's siblings Jenna and Max getting stories of their own. I really liked Elise's best friend, Drake as well. I am glad Ms. Proby returned to Montana and gave us this spin-off series.

Charming Hannah is the first in a new trilogy from Kristen Proby an author whose books I have truly come to look forward to reading… this one does not disappoint!

Set in Montana it tells the story of Hannah Malone one of the local town doctors who relocated there a few years ago and Brad Hull the newly appointed police chief who grew up in Cunningham Falls.

Speaking of Cunningham Falls, fans of Ms Proby may remember this town from her Under the Big Sky series, Loving Cara, Seducing Lauren and Falling for Julian and for them like me it may feel a bit like coming home.
No worries if you have not read those books, this one very much stands on it’s own.

From the moment I opened this book I could feel the connection between Brad and Hannah. But this book is so much more than sexual attraction, these are two adults with lives and career and flaw….
Hannah was such a real and flawed character and Brad’s love for Hannah just how she is touched me in so many ways!

The author crafted a world that pulls the reader in… I for one loved Brad’s siblings and their use in the book. Jenna was so strong and determines and well Max.. I am dying to know more there

Hannah and Brad find a happy so perfect for them one not about changing who you are but about finding the person that embraces who you are.

I am very much looking forward to the next two books in this trilogy and I hope Ms Proby writes in this world for sometimes to come!

I thoroughly enjoyed this trip back to Cunningham Falls! Brad and Hannah are two of the most relatable characters dealing with work demands and personal issues. Kristen delivered this sweet and sexy story with humor and a measurable swoon factor. Kristen fans will not be disappointed! Bring on Jenna's story next!

This is a new book to one of Kristen Proby’s older series. Even though this is a stand alone, I wish that I had reread the rest of the series so that I remembered the other characters and their connections. Brad is the super sexy chief of police and Hannah is a highly anxious local OBGYN. They have waited years for the stars to align and now it’s time!!! A sweet story filled with hope and some anxiety causing drama. Definitely worth the read. An ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review.

Hannah and Brad are just the most lovable couple - supporting each other through various issues and always bringing out the best in one another as well as the hot stuff! the books is written beautifully and I just want to move to Cunningham falls right now ! I can not wait to read more from this series.

Life in the Big Sky country is back in full force. Hannah and Brad are setting the standards high with their long over due love affair.

Brad is pretty much every girls dream. Thoughtful, understanding, and a beast in bed. Hannah is a workaholic with a heart of gold and just a touch of sass. Together they just work, but not without their share of drama.

So excited to be back in Big Sky Country. I fell in love with this world in Kristen’s first three novels. Charming Hannah is the start of more. More ridiculously hot men, head strong women, and more insanely hilarious shenanigans.

I loved Brad and Hannah! I don't suffer from anxiety the way that Hannah does but I have several loved ones who do and Kristen did an amazing job in letting you have a first person insight into someones life who suffers with anxiety. I have had trauma induced panic attacks and I feel like Kristen did a great job with the portrayal of someone who suffers that way. Brad and Hannah have known each other for a few years and when she 'bumps' into him one day on her way to work he squeezes a dinner date out of it and their relationship develops into more from there. There is the classic banter and friend and familial relationships that Kristen is great at and I loved every second of those scenes. I loved how compassionate and understanding Brad was and how strong Hannah was through her perseverance. I did feel like the climax was rushed in order to deal with Hannah's anxiety and I wish we had been given more details as to 'why' it happened but given that Hannah didn't want to know the 'why', I understand why it makes sense for us to not know. Overall this was another classic great read from Kristen Proby and I loved it all! I was grateful to receive it as an ARC for an honest review. Do yourself a favor and buy this book you won't be disappointed.

I love Kristen Proby and excited to see that there is a new series. I thought this book held the same charm as I've come to expect from this author.

The story takes place in a small town centering around Hannah and Brad. She's a doctor and he's the newly appointed chief of police.
I liked the character individually and the build up to a relationship. They had a sweet and sexy romance. I appreciated that the book wasn't filled with unnecessary drama and angst in their relationship.

The found that it was a little sadder than I anticipated but with dealing with both professions it's bound to be a little emotional. Brad is also facing demons from his time in the service. But with his dog and Hannah he can keep them at bay.

While I enjoyed the book, her anxiety was making me anxious. I also found it odd that that she is a obstetrician but doesn't like kids. This may seem perfectly normal to some it was weird to me.

All in all this was a good read. I'm looking forward to read more in the series.

I unlike Hannah am not charmed by this book.

The characters are flat there are is no depth to them. The plot felt glossy and was lacking the layers that I want in a book. There was no development to the characters and the chemistry was mediocre at best.

The writing style is lackluster and not worth my time. I stopped reading at 43% mark.
I should have known better as a long time I read a book by this author and it was just as abysmal as this one.

On top of that they live in a small community and it takes the Hero three bloody years to realise that her best friend isn’t her boyfriend, I mean come on. They have like a million friends in common not once did it come up in a frigging conversation I really find that hard to believe.

I also think that it is really cheeky to ask so much for a book.

Brad and Hannah, what an intriguing and complex pair. Charming Hannah is a first chance romance with a second chance feel to it. Brad has known Hannah since she moved to Cunningham Falls Montana five years or so ago and tried once before to get closer to her. Fast forward three years and that’s when things get really interesting for the Chief of Police. Hannah came to town to join the OB-GYN practice, where her best friend worked.

"I love you." He grips my shoulders and pulls me closer to him. "I don't want to live without you. I can't focus on anything but you, Hannah. When I'm not with you, I'm thinking about you."

Like many of my most enjoyable reads of late, this book encompasses the true meaning of family. Not necessarily who you're related to by blood, but who you choose as family. I couldn't write a review about this book and not mention Sadie, Brad's white Labrador. Sadie is an ex police dog who to me is the starring role in this book. Sadie is a key character to me in this book. She supports both Brad and Hannah. And in my opinion, brings them closer together.

"Are you real?"
"Excuse me?"
"I mean, you have the sweetest dog ever, you bring me coffee, and have you seen you?"

Brad and Hannah both suffer from phobias and or irrational fears. Their chosen professions do not help with these hang-ups. Where most people may stare at them aghast at their issues, they support one another and nurture the positivity of who they really are. The balance in this being a double point of view means that the reader gets to see into the minds of both main characters.

"I just want you," I whisper. "Because I love you too. I've wanted to say it for a while, but I thought it might be too soon."
"If it's how you feel, it's not too soon."
I smile and lift up to kiss him. "You're not so bad with words, you know."

Charming Hannah is set in the world of this author's Big Sky series, but this book is not integral to the entire series and can be read on its own. Though I will mention that this is the first in a new trilogy, and I can clearly guess who the other two books will be taking to task. Lucky people. Several parts this book were a little slow for me; however, in my opinion this is at its foundation a good old fashioned slow burn romance, I was able to overlook the slowness and continued reading. This book reels you in like a baited hook to a fish.

'She's the sweetest thing I've seen, and her reaction to me is exactly what I imagined in my dreams.'

Brad comes from a good family and Hannah does not. This puts into play one of my most intriguing scenarios: family disorders and mental illness and the damage it causes to those dealing with it on a daily basis. To say more would be to spoil a really emotionally charged and at times calamitous read. This book balances hard issues with a good support network. Friends and or family play a huge factor for both characters. I've been left asking myself one question though; how is it that I've never read this author before?

Book Review: 5 Stars

A beautiful love story!!

Put together a sexy doctor, a charming chief of police, an amazing group of friends and family and BOOM!!, I’m a happy reader. Charming Hannah features the lovely story of Hannah and Brad, how their relationship started and developed and how they supported and helped each other to be great as a couple and have a beautiful love story.

Hannah moved to Cunningham Falls because of her job and she never, for a second, thought she’d love the life in a small town. She has a group of friends, and an excellent job, but her personal life was put on second place— she’s too busy to be in a relationship.

Brad has lived in Cunningham Falls all his life. His dad was the chief of police all his life and after his retirement, Brad applied for the position and he’s been as great as his dad as Chief.

They had a great attraction and liked each other but, for a misunderstanding, their relationship started 3 years later. But I’m a believer in the saying “Everything happens when it has to happen” and their relationship started at the right moment. I really loved how supportive and understanding was Brad of Hannah’s condition, that made me love him like crazy.

I completely recommend this sexy, romantic and awesome start of the Big Sky series and I can’t wait to read the next books. I am sure I’ll love Max just as much as I love Brad now.

This is a snuggle book for sure. A comfy chair to sit in all awhile to be lost to the words of Kristin Proby in Charming Hannah. Proby writes wonderful romances, always providing words that capture your mind and steal your heart for the taking. Bringing you light and laughter with a touch of drama to keep the story flowing.

If you are familiar with the Love in the Big Sky books then you’ll recognize some crossover characters. I enjoyed reading about their continued lives and I am eager to experience some other ‘potential’ couples down the way.

Hannah Malone has found a home in Cunningham Falls, Montana. Even though she has been in town for only five years, she is still the ‘new kid’ per se. As a doctor in the community, she is well liked, but keeps to herself due to some struggles related to her past.

Brad Hall, Police Chief, comes from a long lineage of law enforcement and it’s ingrained to protect deep within his blood. Ever since Hannah came into town his eyes have been set on her, however, years have past without asking her out, but now he’s done waiting. He takes his chance.

As their impeccable chemistry escalate, Brad has a earning to protect Hannah from past trauma that he encounters, but can both their hearts take the heat?

A compassionate and exceedingly well tale the capitalizes on one who lives with anxiety. Proby’s words are poetic to the conditions for Hannah’s struggles. I’m impressed with her mature characters; both in professions that are challenging, but Proby pairs them very well. Be ready to be charmed through and through.
